Interlaced | Innova Matte Canvas High White PRINT

$150.00

This piece is a professionally produced fine art print on canvas (Innova Matte Canvas High White) , created with exceptional attention to detail. The original painting was carefully studied and reproduced with every pixel to create a canvas print that closely mirrors the original artwork in color, texture, and visual detail.

The canvas arrives unstretched, with an additional 3 inches of canvas extending beyond the image on all sides to allow for stretching and stapling.

For the best presentation, I recommend coming in on the image at approximately ¼ inch to allow image to bleed past frame. This option works especially well if you plan to mount the stretched canvas inside a traditional frame.

If you prefer a floating or gallery-style presentation, please note that some of the image will be lost as it wraps around the stretcher bars. Depending on the thickness of your stretcher bars, you may lose approximately 1½ inches of the visible image on each side.

Please consider your desired framing and display method before stretching this piece. The additional canvas is intentionally included to give you flexibility in how you choose to finish and display the work.

Interlaced

Interlaced is part of an ongoing series exploring Haitian womanhood through the tension between freedom and restraint. Rendered in stark black and white, the piece pairs the soft curve of the human form with rigid, cage-like lines — a visual language for the structures we're born into and the ones we build for ourselves.
Loose ribbons of white cut across the composition, unbound and searching, moving against the grid that tries to hold them. It's a painting about what it means to be shaped by expectation and still find a way to let go (the quiet, ongoing negotiation between containment and release that lives in so many Haitian women's inner world)
Like much of my work, this piece carries memory forward while making space to imagine something new.
